Bio

Melissa Kolecke, PT, DPT, CSCS

Melissa graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in exercise physiology, with honors. She went on to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2005. She has extensive experience with orthopedic, sports medicine injuries, and helping patients return to the recreational activities and sports they love. Her true specialty and passion is pelvic floor dysfunction in both women and me, an area of treatment she feels is under served. She is committed to practicing evidence based medicine and continues to learn new and effective treatments for pelvic floor dysfunction. In furtherance of her education and skills, Melissa has attended numerous seminars and conferences in the areas of bladder, bowel, and sexual dysfunction, as well as pre/postnatal care. Melissa is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, Section on Women’s Health, International Pelvic Pain Society, and Chicagoland Pelvic Floor Research Consortium. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family.
